REMAIN A CREATURE OF MYSTERY
CREATIVE DIRECTION
This project examines the hidden aspects of human identity. It focuses on the inner "creature" that is typically kept out of public view, focusing on the unexpected, obscure, and unconventional facets of selfhood. By bypassing traditional social norms, it highlights the strange and surprising elements of the psyche that standard conventions fail to capture.

BRIEF
The task was to develop and execute a cohesive creative direction for a studio photoshoot based on the given story. The goal was to establish the overall visual concept and mood through styling, MUAH, lighting, props, movement, and model performance.
The process involved collaborating with the photographer, lighting designer, model, and makeup artist, while leading the creative direction on set. The shoot was allocated 1 hour for MUAH and styling and 1.5 hours for shooting to produce 4 final images.
MOOD BOARD & RESEARCH:
The project explores the hidden “creature” within human identity, the strange, unexpected, and unconventional parts of ourselves that are not always visible. Inspired by Charlotte from Sex and the City and Legally Blonde, the research focuses on expectation versus reality and how people can appear unassuming while carrying hidden qualities.
The mood board explored pale skin, irritated eyes, wild brows, blood-flow-focused lips, subtle scales, claws, spines, and wet textures. Soft, diffused lighting created a contrast between what is seen and what remains hidden, while structured, creature-like poses emphasized the transformation.
